Form Restriction in HT Contact Form

Want to prevent specific users from submitting your form based on their IP address or country? The Form Restriction feature in HT Contact Form allows you to block form access for certain users, improving security, spam protection, and compliance.

This guide shows you how to enable and configure IP-based and country-based restrictions step by step.

Step 1: Access Form Restriction Settings #

  1. Go to HT Contact FormForms from your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Open the form where you want to apply restrictions.
  3. Click the Form Settings tab at the top.
  4. Expand the Form Restriction panel.

Step 2: Enable IP-Based Restriction #

  • Toggle the Enable IP Based Restriction option to ON.
  • Enter one or more IP addresses to restrict in the Restrict IP Address field.
  • Use commas to separate multiple IPs.
  • Example: 192.168.1.1, 192.168.1.2
  • Customize the Restrict IP Address Error Message to inform blocked users.

Step 3: Enable Country-Based Restriction #

  1. Toggle the Enable Country Based Restriction option to ON.
  2. Choose the countries you want to restrict from the dropdown list.
  3. Customize the Restrict Country Error Message for blocked users.

💡 The form will be disabled for visitors from the selected countries based on geolocation.
